What
is WIL? |
 |
 |
Since 1989, we have emphasized the significance of
work-integrated learning in Japan. WIL, the Japan Forum for Work Integrated
Learning is a non-profit organization, was founded in June 2003 to
promote work-related learning in Japan. |

Our Mission |
 |
Our mission is simple – to contribute to the creation of a society in which each and every individual is empowered to decide their own future. The key: laying the foundation for human resources development through coordination and cooperation among academia, industry and government. This is what we call work-integrated learning. It is what drives us.

More specifically, our mission involves actions to achieve
the adoption of work-integrated learning among academia,
industry and government in Japan. We aim to achieve this
by creating an environment conducive to increasing the
number of universities and corporations that offer high-quality
work-integrated learning programs. Our ultimate aim is
for students to be empowered by the knowledge they acquire
and to be able to decide their own future, living life
to the full.
What is ‘work-integrated learning’
?
For us, work-integrated learning means the
following:
"Joint learning activities carried out
with the full cooperation of academia, industry
and government. WIL encourages individuals
to realize their potential, to create value
in society and to apply learning in a constant
quest for personal development and growth." |
